About me
Graduated in 2006 from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels (ENSAV) de La Cambre, with a major in Drawing, I have been painting for over 25 years.
My work explores themes related to childhood and adolescence, blending various media such as painting, drawing, watercolor, ceramics, and even knitted objects. Through these materials, I express inner emotions experienced by children, while always preserving a space of freedom for the viewer’s interpretation.
My first exhibitions were organized shortly after graduating from La Cambre, notably by ISELP and the Charleroi Cultural Centre. These opportunities marked the beginning of my artistic recognition.
Local media coverage — including a report by Télé Sambre — along with nominations for several art prizes, helped increase my visibility among cultural institutions.
In 2009, my installation at La Médiatine — a scenographic piece representing a school playground inhabited by children's portraits — resonated deeply with the audience. This work, which invited viewers to reconnect with their own childhood memories, illustrates my artistic intent: to spark awareness of the complex emotions tied to that stage of life. I then explored various themes, such as art history and the childhoods of female artists. My series include “Stories, Memories of Childhood” (2003–2015), “The Angels” (2010–2021), and “La vie en rose… et pourtant…” (2020–2021).
A key milestone in my journey was my selection by the United Nations in November 2024 for a report on feminicide in 2023, which was broadcast worldwide.
This international recognition highlights the committed nature of my work, which brings to light silent stories and invisible wounds through an artistic language.
